This project was the final assignment for a class focusing on structural analysis and design.  The assignment was to design, analyze and construct a bridge made of balsa wood.

The bridge was required to span three feet and be no more than three inches tall. The concept I decided on for my bridge was a series of planer trusses.  After analysis and construction, the bridges were put to the test using a pneumatic cylinder to apply force to the middle of the bridge.
